Kanoko Town is known by many as a hometown; they were born here and they flourish and develop here as well. Due to the large amount of new trainers who sprout from this area, Professor Aragi has stationed her laboratory here. In order to get a starter Pokémon, all new trainers and the like come to her and ask for one by either her, or her assistant. Ironically enough, she does offer more than three Pokémon - doing her best to have more freedom in selections for budding trainers. Glorious windmills stand tall in Kanoko Town, and many friendly faces can be seen wandering through town. However, Kanoko Town does not have a PokéMart or a Pokémon Center, so those in need will have to travel north to Karakusa Town for supplies.
